We have a "learn through play" ethos and cover the Early Learning Goals:

  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Communication, language and literacy
  • Problem solving, Reasoning and Numeracy

  • Physical development

We have ratios of 1:4 for 2 and 3 year-olds and 1:8 for older children.

Our staff are continually taking courses to further their professional development.

We cover the Early Year Foundation stage, introduced by the government in 2008. All staff have been trained in this

Every day children have access to playdough, painting, chalks, role-play, books, construction and messy play, to name but a few, and they participate in story-time, registration, discussion and circle-time.

We have a huge range of equipment from outdoor lawnmowers to entire shop setups. You can see a recent list here.

We schedule specific play activities according to our themes which specifically target the Early Learning Goals.

We have an ever-changing interest table which we use in accordance with our theme.
