About Us

Kinsbourne Green Nursery / Pre-School is open to all children aged between 2 and 5 years of age. We have 26 places approved by Ofsted. In May 2000 we became the only Pre-school in the area to have achieved accreditation by the Pre-School Learning Alliance and in the following year we were awarded the Hertfordshire Quality Standards Award.

We believe that the physical environment and organisation of a nursery is as important as the curriculum. Children learn through play and, through play, we aim to cover Technology, Science, Maths, Music and Language skills. We aim to stimulate imagination, creativity and all motor skills.

Within the group, all children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace. They will be encouraged to work and concentrate independently but also be an active member of the group, developing confidence, autonomy and respect for themselves and other and learning to share and co-operate with adults and other children.

We have a daily floor plan and a weekly timetable of activities and themes displayed for parents' information.

We are based in St Mary's Church Hall, Kinsbourne Green.
