About Us

Kinsbourne Green Nursery / Pre-School is open to all children aged between 2 and 5 years of age. We have 26 places per morning and a ratio of 1:4 for 2 year olds and 1:8 for older children, We are a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.

We believe that the physical environment and the organization are as important as the curriculum. Children learn through play and we cover the six areas of learning and development. All areas of learning and development are connected to one another and are equally important. These areas are underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage introduced in September 2008 and are as follows: 'Creative Development', ' Personal, Social and Emotional Development', 'Communication, Language and Literacy', 'Physical Development', 'Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy' and 'Knowledge and Understanding of the World'.

Within the group, all children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace. They will be encouraged to work and concentrate independently but also be an active member of the group, developing confidence, autonomy and respect for themselves and other and learning to share and co-operate with adults and other children.

We are based in St Mary's Church Hall, Kinsbourne Green.

We are open on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:15 - noon.
